The Quality of the Grain Saver PowerSweep by Haven Industries: Dependability in Every Sweep
Efficiently emptying grain bins is one of the most important aspects of a smooth grain handling operation. A slow or unreliable unload system can delay logistics, increase labor costs, and lead to grain spoilage—especially when working with large volumes during peak harvest. One standout solution that continues to gain the trust of farmers and grain managers alike is the Grain Saver PowerSweep by Haven Industries.
Built with attention to detail and a commitment to durability, the Grain Saver PowerSweep offers both farm and commercial operations a complete unload system that combines power, performance, and safety in one dependable package. Designed and manufactured by Haven Industries, a company known for rugged, practical grain handling equipment, this PowerSweep system proves that you don’t need the biggest brand to get superior quality.
The Grain Saver PowerSweep is constructed using high-grade steel, reinforced welds, and long-lasting components that can endure heavy use season after season. Whether it’s handling dry corn, soybeans, or high-moisture grain, the system maintains consistent performance without binding, seizing, or excessive wear.
The design includes a direct-drive system that minimizes moving parts and increases torque, which translates into reliable auger rotation even under heavy grain loads. This makes a major difference when clearing out the last few inches of grain—where many sweep systems struggle or require manual intervention.
Additionally, Haven's engineering ensures that the sweep is fully submersible, meaning it can start and operate while buried beneath grain. This reduces the need for manual digging or repositioning and increases both safety and labor efficiency.
The Grain Saver PowerSweep is designed to integrate seamlessly with Haven's own line of horizontal, inclined, or vertical powerheads, providing flexibility for different bin layouts and discharge heights. It is compatible with both tube-style and U-trough unload systems, and it can be configured to match a wide range of bin diameters and capacities.
This adaptability makes it a great fit for operations upgrading older bins or building new systems, without the headaches of difficult retrofits or proprietary limitations.
One of the key strengths of the Grain Saver PowerSweep is its attention to operator safety. Unlike traditional auger-based sweeps that use exposed metal blades and high RPMs, this system uses rubber paddles or enclosed flighting depending on the model. These reduce the risks of injury during bin entry or manual oversight.
In addition, Haven includes features like manual clutch engagement, shielded components, and access panels for easier servicing. These thoughtful touches help reduce downtime and make maintenance tasks quicker and safer.
The Grain Saver PowerSweep by Haven Industries stands out as a well-built, highly functional unload system that combines simplicity with robust performance. Its durable construction, efficient unload capability, safety-first design, and flexible integration make it a reliable investment for farms and grain storage facilities alike. Backed by Haven’s reputation for quality craftsmanship, the Grain Saver PowerSweep is a trusted solution that keeps grain moving smoothly, season after season.
POWERHEAD DRIVES
Power head drives are built around an all-welded, one-piece steel housing. A hanger bearing supports the open end. Motor plates can be easily interchanged between powerheads by simply lifting it off. Height adjustments are made with a multi-position over-centric lever, and four hole hinge height positions. Inclined powerheads are complete with a service cover for maintenance of the U-joint. To keep rodents out, all powerheads ship with a snap-on “rodent cover”.
The Innovative, heavy duty motor mount design is the easy off style and has the over center belt tensioner as standard. The drive belt(s), mounting hardware, belt guard and back plate are all included. Motors and motor sheaves are NOT included. Belts supplied are for the most common motor applications and may not fit all styles of motors.
UNLOAD TUBES
Unload tubes are located under your bin floor and feature a fully assembled/welded construction. The fully welded assembly results in an easy-to-install, long life product.
• Sumps are built entirely out of 12 Ga. steel.
• Pull rods are protected inside a schedule 40
sleeve.
• Floor brackets occur every 6-10’ for a solid installation.
• Available for bin sizes 18’-60’. Tube diameters include 8” and 10”.
• Custom tubes are available in any length, up to 12”
in diameter. Sump spacing and count can also be
customized.
